Black Friday FAQ

What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is the day after the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. This is one of the busiest and craziest single shopping day of the year. Why is it called Black Friday? Retailers are in the "Red" for many months before Black Friday, and red is typically used in finances to denote "loss". However on Black Friday, retailers hope to get into the "Black" (making money) to have their retail profits soar. And so the term "Black Friday" was created. (Wow, you even get a little history lesson here).

Are these "door busters" deals listed true?
All deals posted on this site are solely rumors of upcoming sale prices. We have no way of verifying these prices to check if they are true, since we do not have access to the advertisements ourselves. The chances of these deals being on the store's Black Friday ads are ranked extremely HIGH on being accurate, but once again these deals are pure speculation.

Now What?
Armed with this information, and your personally produced BFSavings "wish list",you can go to the store a day or two before Black Friday. If you choose to, purchase these items and on Black Friday go back to the store and have the store honor their "price match guarantee"and get the item for the new lower sale price. Thus saving you from waking up early in the morning and fighting the crowds huddled near the doors still in their pj's, waiting for the store to open. :) You can sit home and enjoy a few more hours of "shut eye" or savor that second cup of coffee!
